They are fireflies, which should be collected in the special lamp to lighten beautiful flowers. It is not easy to imprison these insects into vessel, as you need to make groups of three fireflies or more for this.

Way of throwing things here is a little different than in classical Zuma game Honey Trouble, as in Light Work fairy freely flies on the playfield and collects fireflies by hands. She can also throw them to any direction. The main thing is to press Space key, which activates sight, and using mouse, direct it into the right place. Then you just need to click, and firefly will fly towards chosen direction.
